Richmond, Va. — June 25, 2025 — We’re excited to announce that Michelle Shefter has joined Humanitru as our Vice President of Product to guide our next chapter of product innovation and growth.

Michelle brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit fundraising technology, spanning both SaaS companies and nonprofit organizations. Early in her career, she helped implement technology to support a number of the sector’s most impactful fundraising, marketing, and advocacy programs—work that aligned her with some of the most forward-thinking efforts in nonprofit tech.

Over the past 15 years, Michelle has held influential positions at Convio, Blackbaud, and NGP VAN/EveryAction. She has played a central role in the development of market-leading digital fundraising, advocacy, and planned giving tools, and has helped bring a next-generation fundraising CRM to market. Most recently, Michelle served as Director of Product at FreeWill, where she led the development of estate and legacy giving solutions that empowered donors and deepened relationships between supporters and causes.

In her new role at Humanitru, Michelle will oversee product strategy, roadmap execution, and team development—all with a focus on building powerful, scalable tools that meet the evolving needs of today’s nonprofit professionals. She joins at a time of rapid growth for the company and will be a key leader in shaping how we continue to empower organizations through data-driven innovation.

Please join us in welcoming Michelle Shefter to the team! We look forward to the experience, clarity, and momentum she will bring to our product vision—and to the increased value it will bring to the entire Humanitru community.
